
A Waukee man was arrested early Thursday after allegedly assaulting a Waukee woman in the home.
Daniel Ajoum Ngor Mabur, 32, of 1525 N.W. Ivy Road, Waukee, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 1 a.m. Thursday at a residence in the 300 block of N.W. Sixth Street in Waukee, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Mabur allegedly “hit her twice in the arm,” according to court records.
The officers made contact with Mabur, who told the officers that the victim “threw his cell phone, and then he pushed her arms off of him,” according to court records.
The officers observed on the victim “a visible raised, discolored mark,” according to court records.
Mabur was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Sept. 22 in Dallas County District Court.
