Waukee man arrested for third-degree harassment

A Waukee man was arrested Tuesday for making contact with a Waukee woman a week after he agreed, on advice from the Waukee Police Department, to cease contact with the woman

Justin Eugene Baker, 30, of 700 Ashworth Dr., Waukee, was charged with third-degree harassment.

According to court records, Baker “was advised” June 15 by an officer of the Waukee Police Department “to have no further contact with” the victim, and Baker allegedly “agreed to have no more contact,” according to court records.

On Tuesday Baker allegedly “dropped off items at the apartment building in which the victim resides/” Among the items was a note that said “he was returning property to her and didn’t want any trouble from this incident,” according to court records.

Baker was held in the Dallas County Jail prior to his release on his own recognizance. He is scheduled for a hearing Aug. 4 in Dallas County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
