A Waukee man was arrested Sunday morning after allegedly threatening to cut the throat of a Marshalltown man.
Carson Matthew Burris, 19, of 1080 Cedar St., Waukee, was charged with first-degree harassment.
The incident began about 7:30 a.m. Sunday at a residence in the 1000 block of Cedar Street, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with the victim and a witness, who claimed that Burris, in the course of a dispute, allegedly “threatened to kill” a Marshalltown man “by stabbing him,” according to court records
Burris “also sent text messages following this incident and stated that he would kill him by
slitting his throat,” according to court records.
Burris was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 14 in Dallas County District Court.
