A Waukee woman was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly assaulting another Waukee woman in the home.
Alexis May Reineking, 23, of 25 S.E. Windfield Parkway, Waukee, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault.
The incident began about 3 p.m. Wednesday, when officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance after a 911 caller said “that she had hit her fiance” and “could not control herself to not hit her fiance again,” according to court records.
The officers made contact with Reineking, who told the officers that “she became angry at the victim and struck the victim in the head with a partially open hand,” according to court records.
The victim confirmed the alleged assault.
Reineking told the officers that “this was not the first time she had assaulted the victim during their three-year relationship,” according to court records.
Reineking is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash-only bond. She is scheduled for a pretrial conference Aug. 3 in Dallas County District Court.
