A Waukee woman was arrested Wednesday after allegedly biting a Waukee man in the home.
Sophia Isabel May, 19, of 1165 S.E. Olson Dr., Waukee, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday at a residence in the 1100 block of S.E. Olson Drive, where officers of the Waukee Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
An investigation led officers to conclude that May allegedly did “rush” her mother’s husband and did “bite him on the wrist,” causing a “bodily injury,” according to court records.
Probable cause to arrest May emerged when she admitted “to biting” the victim.
May was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing July 3 in Dallas County District Court.
