A West Des Moines man was arrested Sunday after allegedly assaulting his brother in the home.
Jesus Hilario Jimenez III, 30, of 8864 Primo Lane Dr., West Des Moines, was charged with third or subsequent offense domestic abuse assault.
The incident began about 4 a.m. Sunday at a residence in the 8800 block of Primo Lane Drive, where officers of the West Des Moines Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Jimenez “threw a punch” in the course of a domestic dispute, according to court records.
The officers observed on the victim “a bite mark to a finger” which was bleeding and a “bruise to his left eye,” and he told the officers his nose was “broken,” according to court records.
Jimenez is held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.
Jimenez was convicted of domestic abuse assault in 2014 and 2023 in Texas.
