The incident began about 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 9000 block of Coneflower Drive, where officers of the West Des Moines Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.

The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Yuggo allegedly “woke her up and physically attacked her by holding her down while standing over her, grabbing her arms and attempting to grab her throat,” according to court records.

A witness allegedly “saw the attack and called the police,” according to court records.

The victim ‘complained of pain in her arm,” according to court records.

Yuggu is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Oct. 2 in Dallas County District Court.
