According to court records, the incident occurred March 17 in the 8900 block of Cascade Avenue in West Des Moines, where Hart allegedly “placed the victim into a choke hold” before allegedly “picking her up and slamming her onto the ground in the choke hold” and then “striking the victim,” according to court records.

A warrant for Hart’s arrest was ordered May 16 after Hart failed to appear for arraignment in Dallas County District Court. Hart is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $2,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Aug. 1 in the Dallas County District Court.
