A West Des Moines man was arrested Friday for alleged ongoing sexual abuse of a minor.
Gregory James Moore, 55, of 8950 Canyon St., West Des Moines, was charged with incest, two counts of second-degree sexual abuse and two counts of third-degree sexual abuse.
The investigation began Sept. 11, 2022, when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip from a friend of the 16-year-old female victim, who said Moore “has been molesting her since she was 9 years old,” according to court records.
Searches warrants were executed Sept. 30 at Moore’s West Des Moines residence and at a residence at 2111 Lucinda St. in Perry, according to court records. The focus of the search was evidence related to “child pornography.”
Moore is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $100,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a hearing Oct. 18 in Dallas County District Court.
