A West Des Moines woman was arrested Sunday for allegedly assaulting her domestic partner.
Shandoria Nicole Johnson, 24, of 6387 Vista Dr., West Des Moines, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the 6300 block of Vista Drive, where Johnson allegedly “did engage in a domestic assault against her partner,” according to court records.
The alleged assault “did leave marks on” the victim’s “face,” according to court records.
Johnson was held in the Dallas County Jail prior to her release on her own recognizance. She is scheduled for arraignment Feb. 24 in Dallas County District Court.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
