Memorial Services for William H. Schuhardt, 81, of Perry will be 10:30 am. Tuesday, Dec. 20 at Murdock Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, with the family receiving friends from 5–7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Bill passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
William Henry Schuhardt was born Feb. 28, 1935, in rural Perry, Iowa, the son of Arthur and Mary (Bender) Schuhardt.
Bill graduated from high school in 1952.
He married Hazel Hicks Jan. 22, 1954, at the First United Methodist Church in Perry.
A lifelong Perry resident and farmer, he also held the office of a Dallas County Supervisor for eight years.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Schuhardt of Perry; one son, Doug Schuhardt of Perry; one daughter, Cindy (David) Cole of Libby, Mont., and two grandsons, Jason (Torey) McElroy of Perry and Jarin McElroy of Colorado Springs, Colo.
Preceding Bill in death were his parents and his brother, Bob Schuhardt.
Memorials will be directed to the Animal Rescue League and may be left or sent to the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at murdockfuneralhome.net.
