Woodward, Granger men arrested for alleged April assault

Two Woodward men and a Granger man were arrested on Dallas County warrants Wednesday in connection with an April incident in Woodward in which they allegedly assaulted and seriously injured a Woodward man.

Anthony Lee Arbuckle, 40, of 26944 150th St., Woodward, was charged with assault causing serious injury and rioting.

Alexander Robert Arbuckle, 18, of 1800 Linden St., Granger, was charged with assault causing serious injury and rioting.

Joshua Dean Lawrence, 34, of 26944 150th St., Woodward, was charged with assault causing serious injury and rioting.

The incident began about 11 p.m. on April 22 in the 100 block of Main Street in Woodward, where the Arbuckles and Lawrence allegedly “began to participate in an assault, causing injury to a victim who resides in Woodward,” leaving the victim with “several severe lacerations” that required “multiple stitches in his forehead,” according to court records.

Warrants for the arrest of the three alleged assailants were ordered Tuesday in Dallas County District Court and served Wednesday.

Anthony Arbuckle is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 17 in Dallas County District Court.

Lawrence is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $5,000 cash or surety bond He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing June 17 in Dallas County District Court.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
