A Woodward man was arrested Monday after allegedly acting aggressively toward two Woodward women.
Darren Kent Dehaven, 31, of 207 N. Third St., Woodward, was charged with assault and first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 10:15 p.m. Monday in the 200 block of Third Street in Woodward, where Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The deputies made contact with the victim, who told the deputies that Dehaven “started to destroy their property” and then allegedly “spit on her five times, body checked her at around 10 times, threw rocks at her and raised his hand at her, indicating he was going to hit her,” according to court records.
A second victim told the deputies that Dehaven was “screaming” at her and allegedly “raised his hand at her, indicating he was going to hit her,” according to court records.
Dehaven was held in the Dallas County Jail on a $600 cash or surety bond in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.
