- A caller had questions “about sending a certified legal document” to her ex-husband. An officer responded and advised the caller to make contact with an attorney.
- A caller said her neighbor’s garage “has a rooster in it.” The caller said she was “concerned that it is being taken care of properly as it is making a lot of noise.” An officer responded.
- A caller said she lost her purse.
- A caller asked whether an officer of the Perry Police Department could “respond to her residence to look for cameras.” An officer responded “and did not find any small cameras or microphones.”
- A caller said a dog was running at large. An officer responded.
- The Perry Police Department School Resource Officer “requested a case file for possession of child pornography.”
- A caller said her dog was lost. The caller called again and said her dog was found.
- Daniel Hull of 1411 Otley Ave. was issued a first-offense citation for failure to remove dog waste.
March 23, 2017
- A caller said “her sister’s boyfriend has struck a vehicle and left.” Officers responded and learned the boyfriend and girlfriend “had broken up this morning,” after which someone “had thrown all his property out of the trailer.” The boyfriend then allegedly “got into his truck and tried to hit” someone who was changing a tire that the boyfriend “had popped with his truck.” The boyfriend missed the tire changer but struck two vehicles before leaving the area. An investigation was started.
- A caller said her cat was lost.
- A woman entered the offices of the Perry Police Department at 908 Willis Ave. and said her cat was missing.
- A caller said she “was having problems with her 12-year-old son,” who was “continually banging his head against the way.” An officer responded, and the “mother took the child to Des Moines for psychological assistance.”
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
