R. D. Nicolaisen, 29, of Perry was arrested Saturday on charges of second-offense domestic abuse assault and simple assault.

A Perry man who was convicted last April of assaulting his father was arrested Saturday on the same charges.

R. D. Nicolaisen, 29, of 12842 Houston Ave., Perry, was charged with second-offense domestic abuse assault and simple assault.

The incident occurred about 3 p.m. in the 12800 block of Houston Ave. in rural Perry.

According to court records, Nicolaisen punched his father in the face and punched his brother “in the head and neck area.”

Officers of the Perry Police Department and Dallas County Deputy Sheriffs responded to the reported domestic disturbance, made contact with the father and observed “a red abrasion above his right eye on his forehead.”

The brother, who lives nearby, showed “slight redness” where he was allegedly struck.

Nicolaisen is held in the Dallas County Jail in advance of an initial appearance in Dallas County District Court.

Nicolaisen was convicted of first-offense domestic abuse assault in April 2019 in Dallas County District Court.
