A truck owned by Supreme Swine Nutrition of Elvaston Illinois, collided with a passenger car Thursday morning on Iowa Highway 141.

A straight truck collided with a passenger car on Iowa Highway 141 in west Perry Thursday morning, slowing traffic on the state highway in both directions.

At least two persons sustained injuries in the mishap and were transported to the Dallas County Hospital by Dallas County EMS.

Heavy snowfall and slippery roads were among the conditions of the two-vehicle crash, which occurred about 7:45 a.m. on Iowa Highway 141 between I Court and Diagonal Road.

The truck, owned by Supreme Swine Nutrition of Elvaston, Illinois, appeared to be westbound on the state highway when it collided with the passenger car, which sustained significant passenger-side damage.

The incident is under investigation at this hour.

The Perry Police Department, Perry First Responders, Perry Volunteer Fire Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s office and Iowa State Patrol responded.
