Firefighters from the Dawson and Perry stations of the Perry Volunteer Fire Department responded to a barn fire Friday evening shortly before 6 p.m. at a farm four miles south of Dawson.
No injuries were reported in the blaze at 12248 180th St., which wholly destroyed a barn and damaged another outbuilding, a corn crib, which rekindled about 9 p.m. and brought a return by the Perry firefighters.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Mutual aid was provided by the volunteer fire departments of Yale-Jamaica-Bagley and Panora.
The 5.5-acre property is owned by Alan Mundt, according to county records.
