A two-vehicle collision shortly before noon Saturday on Iowa Highway 141 at Eighth Street in Perry caused injuries to several occupants of the vehicles.
The collision involved a pickup truck and a four-door passenger car. The pickup appeared to have two occupants, and the car contained several occupants, including a dog.
Both vehicles came to rest in the north ditch of the westbound lanes of Iowa Highway 141. The pickup stopped about 20 yards west of Eighth Street, and the car came to rest about 50 yards west of Eighth Street.
Extensive front-end damage to both vehicles was visible.
The circumstances of the accident are under investigation at this hour by officers of the Perry Police Department.
Also responding were the Perry First Responders, Perry Volunteer Fire Department and Dallas County EMS.
After treating the injured at the scene, the Dallas County EMS provided non-emergent transportation for three people to the Dallas County Hospital.
