Brenda McLuen took off her Fareway necktie and ID tag for the last time Friday, retiring after 21 years with the Perry grocery store.
McLuen began work at the Perry Fareway July 31, 1995.
Travis Landgrebe, manager of the Perry outlet, has spent 20 years working side by side with McLuen.
“Brenda is everyone’s favorite,” Landgrebe said Friday. “She has been a great asset to the Fareway team and will be missed by us and our customers. We all wish her the very best in her new home and in the next phase of life.”
McLuen said her retirement plans include a move to eastern Tennessee.
