Barbara Lincoln, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Feb. 18, 2024, at the Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. She was 70 years old.

There will be a visitation and Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 2 from 1-4 p.m. at the Elks Lodge 407 in Perry.

Barb was born Nov. 17, 1953, in Troy, Missouri. She grew up in Boone and then settled in Perry.

On March 7, 1975, she embarked on a lifelong journey of love and companionship when she married her beloved husband, Mark Lincoln. Barb and Mark built their home in Perry, where they raised their two boys, Shawn, and Scott.

Barb had a multitude of friends and family to whom she was known for being extremely kind and generous. Barb thoroughly enjoyed Christmas time. She always had a yard full and a house full of decorations.

Barb enjoyed gambling and was said to have more than her share of luck. Barb and Mark made more than 40 trips to Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe over the years.

Barb had a special affection for dogs and always had one or two as pets. She always ensured they were treated with the utmost care and kindness.

Those left to cherish Barb’s memory are her husband, Mark; sons, Shawn (Cassie) and Scott; grandson, Zayne (Isabell); great-grandson, Silas; granddaughter, Brooke; sisters, Linda (Danny) Stagg and Karen Godwin; and multiple nieces; nephews; and extended family.

Barb was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
