Robert Allen McChesney Jr., or Bob as he preferred, was called into the arms of his Savior on the morning of Dec. 15, 2021. He was 54 years old.
Those who loved him the most are left to ask why. Bob suffered through many health issues in his later years of his life, yet even as he faced his fears, he knew his Lord and Savior “had his back.”
Services for Bob following his cremation will be held at the Perry Bible Church in Perry, Iowa, on Monday, Dec. 20. Services will be held at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Anyone who knew Bob knew that he hated to dress up, so please wear casual clothes if you desire.
Bob is survived by his wife of 30 years, Dawn (Losee) McChesney; sons, Wyatt, Tyler and Conner (Holly Stone) McChesney; his parents, Bob and Becki McChesney Sr.: sister, Melissa Miller; sisters-in-law, Luanne (Steve) Markey, Terri (Dennis) Shetler and Janine (Jeff) Keys; five nephews and four nieces; six great-nephews and five great-nieces; his aunts and uncles; his best cat, Bandit, and Mya; and grand cats, Binx and Bagheera, who all miss him greatly.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Jacob Kallen McChesney; his mother-in-law and father-in-law; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his best friend, Joe Kerr; his cats, DB and Smudge; and grand kitten, Bella.
