Charles “Larry” Day, 89, of Perry passed away Friday, June 5, 2020, at the Rowley Masonic Community in Perry, Iowa.
A private graveside service will be held at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Adel. Memorials will be given to Larry’s family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care. Online condolences may be sent at www.carrisfuneralhome.com.
Charles “Larry” Lawrence Day was born Sept. 26, 1930, in Grimes, Iowa, to Charles Ernest and Bess Alice (Bowers) Day.
He attended the University of Iowa, studying photojournalism.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Larry was a photographer for Massey Ferguson for 30 plus years.
In death he rejoins his parents; and a brother, Dennis Day.
Left to cherish Larry’s memory are his children, Michael Day of Adel, Adam Day of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, and Lynne Day of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandson, Nicholas Day of Tucson, Arizona; and brother, Steven Day of Yale, Iowa.
