The Perry City Hall has issued the following reminder for visitors to Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry:
From April 1 to Nov. 15, all decorations at the Violet Hill Cemetery must be contained in a vase, placed on the headstone or hung on an ornamental lawn hook.
Exceptions to this rule include:
- Memorial Day, Monday, May 30, 2016 – Decorations will be allowed 10 days before and seven days after the holiday.
- Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, 2016 — Decorations will be allowed five days before and five days after the holiday.
- Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19, 2016 – Decorations will be allowed five days before and five days after the holiday.
All loose flowers or decorations must be removed by April 1.
