A Clive man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly assaulting his wife in the home.
Ismet Causevic, 71, of 2150 N.W. 159th St., Clive, was charged with first-offense domestic abuse assault-bodily injury or mental illness.
The incident began about 3 p.m. Wednesday at a residence in the 2100 block of 159th Street, where officers of the Clive Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance.
The officers made contact with the victim, who told the officers that Causevic allegedly “punched” the victim “in the back of the head with a closed fist, slapped her across the face and tried to rip her clothes off of her during a verbal argument,” according to court records.
Causevic is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing May 19 in Dallas County District Court.
*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
Did you ask for anyones approval to post this? This is dramatic and not true. Delete THe post before you know what has really happened. Spreading lies gets you know where. Did you feel to think let’s ask THe families approval? Disgusting.
Police reports are made public for this reason. The reporter does not need approval and if you see the * footnotes, they are accusations, and there are two sides to every story. What’s disgusting, in my opinion, is that someone, probably a family member, make himself or herself look disgusting by making a bigger deal out of the post than it would have been. I read things like this everyday, and I know I don’t remember them a week later. Sleeping dogs should be left alone. Everybody will have their turn in front of a judge who will make the ultimate decision. Meanwhile, I hope the best for everyone involved.
