A Colorado woman was arrested in Waukee July 4 after allegedly striking a West Des Moines man who tried to take away her bottle of vodka.
Tiffaney Marie Drake, 32, of 3078 1/2 Colorado Ave., Grand Junction, Colorado, was charged with assault causing injury or mental illness.
According to court records, Drake “became upset” when the victim “attempted to take the bottle away from” Drake, who was “intoxicated from consuming vodka.”
Drake allegedly “began striking the victim,” leaving “red marks and scratches to the victim’s right side of his neck,” according to court records.
Drake is held in the Dallas County Jail on a $1,000 cash or surety bond. She is scheduled for a preliminary hearing July 15 in Dallas County District Court.
