Workers thanked for combined 230 years of public service

Joy Albright was thanked Tuesday by the Dallas County Board of Supervisors for her 40 years of service in the Dallas County Treasurer's Office. Joining Albright were from left, Supervisor Brad Golightly, Board Chair Kim Chapman and Supervisor Mark Hanson.

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors awarded 15 certificates of appreciation to county employees Tuesday morning in recognition of the milestones they have reached in length of service.

Combined, the public sector laborers have contributed 230 years of service to residents of Dallas County. The county workers receiving certificates of recognition were:

  • Brent Behnken for five years in the Dallas County Sheriff’s office
  • Donna Boldy for five years in the Dallas County Sheriff’s office
  • Andy Case for five years in the Dallas County Secondary Roads Department
  • Renee Farber for five years in the Dallas County Auditor’s office
  • Diana Haynes for five years in the Dallas County Attorney’s office
  • Heidi McKibben for five years in the Dallas County Sheriff’s office
  • Preston Costen for 10 years in the Dallas County Secondary Roads Department
  • Becky Massure for 10 years in the Dallas County Sheriff’s office
  • Stephanie Birt for 15 years in the Dallas County Public Health Nursing Services
  • Lisa Kemp for 20 years in the Dallas County Community Services Department
  • Rachele Lande for 20 years in the Dallas County Information Services Department
  • Mike Thomason for 20 years in the Dallas County EMS Department
  • Lisa J. Anderson for 25 years in the Dallas County Public Health Nursing Services
  • Joy Albright for 40 years in the Dallas County Treasurer’s Office
  • Barry Halling for 40 years in the Dallas County Emergency Management Department

The milestone attainers were each asked by Dallas County Board of Supervisors Chair Kim Chapman to deliver a five-minute speech, but each declined, although 40-year veterans Joy Albright of the Treasurer’s office and Barry Halling of the Emergency Management Department said there were stories they could tell.
