COVID-19 deaths in Iowa rise to 644, positive cases at 23,350

DES MOINES, Iowa — Data from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) indicate total COVID-19 deaths statewide in Iowa stood at 644 at about 6 p.m. Friday, June 12. In Dallas County, 26 deaths have been reported.

The total for positive cases statewide stands at 23,350, including 995 in Dallas County.

Of Iowa’s population of 3.1 million people, 214,950 have been tested, about 6.7% of the total population.
