The Dallas County Foundation (DCF), in conjunction with the Grow Greene County Gaming Corp. (GGCGC), announced Thursday the names of 35 grant recipients for a total 2019 funding pool of $138,753 for community betterment projects.
The DCF grants total $95,706, and the GGCGC funding totals $43,047.
The funding level is about $2,753 higher than the 2018 awards total and brings to $1,327,677 the total given to more than 220 Dallas County projects since 2005.
The non-profit DCF, formed to distribute Dallas County’s share of state gambling taxes, funds a variety of charitable, civic and cultural organizations across Dallas County.

The next grant cycle will be announced in December 2019.
The DCF is an affiliate of Greater Des Moines Community Foundation.
