Aug. 22, 2023

  • Connor McFall of LaFayette, Georgia, was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 105 mile marker when his vehicle struck an Iowa Department of Transportation arrow sign and knocked the side mirror off his truck. McFall pulled over and waited for law enforcement to arrive. No injuries were reported. Damage to McFall’s vehicle was estimated at $750, and damage to the DOT sign was estimated at $500.
  • Mario Romero of Perry was traveling in the 20000 block of Minburn Road when his vehicle dropped off the edge of the pavement, entered the ditch and overturned. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $4,000. Romero was issued a citation for no valid driver’s license and failure to maintain control.

Aug. 23, 2023

  • Christopher Hidlebaugh, 31, of 1618 Willis Ave., Perry, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.

*A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
