Dec. 20, 2021
- Camron Van Gundy of Van Meter was traveling in the 25000 block of 347 Street when he swerved to avoid a deer, and his vehicle entered the ditch and overturned. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $1,500. Van Gundy was issued a citation for failure to maintain control, failure to provide proof of financial liability and operation without registration.

- Gach Both of Waukee stopped at a stop sign at Meredith Drive and U Avenue and then entered the intersection to proceed southbound on U Avenue when his vehicle was struck by a dump truck, driven by Candi Courter of Cambridge, traveling southbound on U Avenue. Both was transported to Mercy One Medical Center by Waukee EMS. Damage to Both’s vehicle was estimated at $12,000, and damage to the truck was estimated at $5,000. Both was issued a citation for failure to obey a stop sign and driving while suspended.

- Marian Sturm of Ankeny was traveling in the 16000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $9,000.
- Tiffanie Swigart of Perry was traveling in the 16000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $3,000.
- Anthony Pope, 53, of 1300 S.W. Fourth St., Grimes, was arrested on a warrant.
- Ryan Smith of Des Moines was traveling on I Avenue near 363rd Circle when he lost control of the vehicle, which entered the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $3,000.

- Domeco Fugenschuh, 23, of 6316 Urbandale Ave., Des Moines, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

- Matthew Baker, 18, of 613 Polk St., De Soto, was arrested for domestic abuse assault.
- Ryan Rice, 42, of 511 14th Ave. N.W., Altoona, was arrested on a warrant.
- Benson Quiyea, 21, of 5683 Vista Dr., West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.

- Timothy Tallman, 34, of 912 North St., Tekamah, Nebraska, was arrested on a warrant for theft.
- Wade Lewis of Boone was traveling on Iowa Highway 141 near I Court when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $3,000.

- Debra Wilcox, 61, of 1098 Passover Road, Osage Beach, Missouri, was arrested for OWI.
