Jan. 12, 2024
- Celeb Gutierrez pf Dallas, Texas, was traveling on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 100 mile marker when he lost control of his vehicle, which entered the median. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $2,000.
- Nicholas Sywak of Adel was traveling in the 12000 block of Iowa Highway 44 when his vehicle became stuck in a snow drift and was rear-ended by a vehicle, driven by Colten Boatman of Guthrie Center. No injuries were reported. Damage to Sywak’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000, and damage to Boatman’s vehicle was estimated at $7,500.
- Angela Gabriel, 26, of 8925 Cascade Ave., West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for child endangerment.
- Jacob Ballard, 27, of 8925 Cascade Ave., West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for child endangerment.
Jan. 13, 2024
- Grace Hemann of Bouton was traveling in the 18000 block of N Avenue when her vehicle struck a snow drift. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $2,500.
- Clay Daper of Linden was traveling in the 18000 block of 280th Street near Adel when his vehicle struck a snow drift, entered the ditch and overturned. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $20,000.
Jan. 14, 2024
- Michael Peterson of Perry was removing snow with a city-owned tractor when it struck a legally parked vehicle, owned by Harka Subba. Damage was estimated at $100.
- Devin Morales, 27, of 912 N. Maple St., Jefferson, was arrested on a warrant for driving while suspended.
