January 1, 2020
- Sam Heffron of Van Meter was traveling south on Silverado Lane near the Napa Valley Drive intersection when he swerved to avoid a deer and lost control of his vehicle, which went through the T-intersection and through the guard rail barrier. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $750 and $750 to the guard rail.
January 2, 2020
- Kevin Villa, 21, of 511 Second St., Perry, was arrested on a warrant for OWI.
- Damir Nuhanovic, 36, of 4110 100th St., Urbandale, was arrested on warrants for theft and unauthorized use of a credit card.
- Ronald Richard Paglia, 54, of 2105 Sycamore St., Granger, was arrested on a warrant for violation of parole.
- Leigh Richard Houghton, 54, of 307 Story St., Sheldahl, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation on an original charge of possession of marijuana.
