July 24, 2023
- A juvenile driver was traveling on 347th Street when the driver lost control trying of the vehicle, which entered the ditch and overturned. The minor driver was privately transported to the hospital. A passenger was uninjured. The driver was issued a citation for violation of a school permit and failure to maintain control.
- Stephanie Mapes of Perry was traveling eastbound in the parking lot of Tyson Fresh Meats near Perry when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle, driven by Charlean Britten of Perry. No injuries were reported. Damage to each vehicle was estimated at $1,500.
July 25, 2023
- Rhianna Dunaway, 28, of 1156 N.E. Eighth Lane, Ankeny, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of OWI.
- Juan Vega Cornejo of Perry was traveling in the 20000 block of J Avenue when his vehicle entered a construction area where pavement was being replaced. The vehicle went down into a hole and back out on to the pavement, causing severe and disabling damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $10,000. Vega Cornejo was issued a citation for failure to obey a traffic control device.
