July 3, 2021
- Blake Jacob Gibbs, 23, of 2319 41st St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on an original charge of possession of a controlled substance.
- Joshua Coleman Pugh, 30, of 6832 Chaffee Road, Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on an original charge of driving while barred.
July 4, 2021
- Johnny Estle Gardner, 37, of 34942 Del Rio Road, Dexter, was arrested at 322 Barton St. in Dexter for assault with intent to inflict serious injury, burglary and criminal mischief.
- James Straight of Griswold was traveling east in the 1500 block of Sugar Grove Avenue in Dallas Center when his vehicle collided with a vehicle, driven by Christina Janssen of Thornton County, who was lost and turned left without using the turn signal. Straight’s vehicle was passing Janssen’s vehicle when the collision occurred. No injuries were reported. Damage to Janssen’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500, and damage to Straight’s vehicle was estimated at $750. Janssen was issued a citation for failure to provide proof of financial liability.
- Michael Jennings of Des Moines legally parked his vehicle at the Booneville boat ramp. When he returned to his vehicle, he noticed damage to the rear bumper. No suspect vehicle was located. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500.

- Cameron David Washburn, 25, of 6013 S Perth St., Aurora, Colorado, was arrested at 34308 L Ave. in rural Adel on two counts of assault causing bodily injury or mental illness.
