- Steve Derrick Salinas, 39, of 1211 40th St., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for contempt of court on an original charge of violation of a no-contact order.
- Barbara Marie Smith, 40, of 804 North St., Shelby, was arrested at 803 State St. in Dexter for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment.
- Collin Matthew Leffel, 21, of 1933 Penrose St., Grinnell, was arrested at 803 State St. in Dexter for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and child endangerment.
March 7, 2020
- Alejandro Isaac Martinez, 21, of 1023 Kirkwood Ave., Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear on an original charge of driving under suspension.
- Brandon Sean Carlson, 32, of 613 Polk St., De Soto, was arrested at this address for interference with official acts and public intoxication.
March 8, 2020
- Larry Alan Kumm, 67, of 28925 360th St., Booneville, was arrested at 360th and Richland Road in Van Meter for OWI and improper use of lanes.
- Angel Cart of Des Moines was traveling west near the 103 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when she fell asleep while passing a vehicle driven by Bradley Conn of Janesville, Iowa. Cart drove into the driver’s side of Conn’s semi. No injuries were reported. Damage to Cart’s vehicle was estimated at $1,000, and damage to Conn’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500.
- Maketh Mumhom of Denison was traveling west on Iowa Highway 141 when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
