April 28, 2022

  • Amanda Berkley of Earlham was traveling eastbound on U.S. Interstate 80 near the 108 mile marker when she slowed and stopped due to traffic congestion during another accident, and her vehicle was struck from the rear by a vehicle, driven by Nathan Andreesen. Berkley was transported by Dallas County EMS. Damage to Berkley’s vehicle was estimated at $6,000, and damage to Mr. Andreesen’s vehicle was estimated at $4,000. Andreesen was issued a citation for failure to stop is assured clear distance.

April 29, 2022

  • Austin Ballard, 23, of 4012 64th St., Urbandale, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
  • Travis Ramsey, 37, of Osceola was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.

April 30, 2022

  • Christopher Small, 34, of 8730 E. P. True Parkway, West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
  • Jevoury Wedderburn, 30, of 1135 S.E. Olson Dr., Waukee, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
  • Paula Rychnovsky of Rippey was traveling in the 16000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $5,500.

May 1, 2022

  • Ronald Martin, 46, of 3650 Cottage Grove Ave., Des Moines, was arrested for probation violation.
  • Rene Vargas of Evansville, Wyoming was traveling eastbound on U.S. Interstate 80 near mile marker 106 when his vehicle blew a tire, and Vargas lost control of the vehicle. One person was transported by Dallas County EMS. Damage to Vargas’ vehicle was estimated at $5,000, and damage to the cable barrier system was estimated at $3,200.
