May 22, 2024
- James Valerie of Grimes was traveling on Iowa Highway 141 near O Avenue when his vehicle was struck from behind by a vehicle, driven by Angela Hansen-Abbas of Perry. Valerie’s vehicle entered the ditch and overturned, and all occupants were transported by the Dallas County EMS. Damage to Valerie’s vehicle was estimated at $1000, and damage to Hansen-Abbas’ vehicle was estimated at $10,000.
May 23, 2024
- Daniel Monroy of Perry was traveling in the 27000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when a vehicle, driven by Travis Beam of Perry, attempted to pass Monroy’s vehicle and sideswiped Monroy’s vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $1,000 for each vehicle. Beam was issued a citation for failure to yield.
- A minor driver was traveling in the 25000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when the vehicle entered the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $7,500.
- Trisha Slauson, 46, of 601 Percival Ave., Dallas Center, was arrested for domestic abuse assault.
- Michael Harrah, 28, of 506 Main St. E., Grand Junction, was arrested for fifth-degree theft and issued citations for no valid license, fraudulent use of registration, operation without registration card or plate and failure to display registration plate.
- Lucas Hughes, 35, of 230 Main St., Carlisle, was arrested for OWI, eluding, speeding, reckless driving, open container and improper passing.
May 24, 2024
- Daniel Corbin, 27, of 1405 Vine St., Dallas Center, was arrested for OWI and driving while suspended.
