November 8, 2023

  • Colton Scott of Earlham was traveling south on Puckerbrush Road when his vehicle struck a vehicle, driven by Timothy Gerdis of Waukee. No injuries were reported. Damage to Scott’s vehicle was estimated at $2,000, and damage to Gerdis’s vehicle was estimated at $3,ooo. Gerdis was issued a citation for failure to obey stop sign and yield right of way.
  • Suzanna White of Winterset was traveling north on Highway 169 near 360th St., when a vehicle driven by Earbie Akers of Winterset traveling on 360th, pulled out onto Highway 169 and struck White’s vehicle. No injuries reported. Damage to each vehicle estimated at $5000.00. Akers was cited for failure to obey stop sign and yield right of way.
  • Richard Nourse of Menlo was traveling west in the 16000 block of Old Highwaay 6 when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $2000.00.
  •  Ronald Dean Feldman, age 26 of  (address unknown) was arrested on a warrant for probation violation.
  •  Alex Kyle Hanson, age 26 of (address unknown) was arrested on a warrant for probation violation – original charge of possession of a controlled substance and controlled substance violation.
  • Tonya Sue DeCamp, age 47 of 29456 Old Portland Rd., Adel was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear-original charge of OWI and unlawful possession of a prescription drug.

November 10, 2023

  • Latasha Marie Medlay, 25, of 804 Guthrie St., De Soto, was arrested for violation of a no-contact order.
  • Leah Mertz of Redfield was traveling in the 21000 block of 280th Street when her vehicle left the roadway and overturned in the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $20,000.
  • Jose Angeles Salazar was traveling southbound in the 34000 block of Ute Avenue when he attempted to avoid a gravel dump truck, driven by Devin York of Des Moines, and his vehicle left the roadway and entered the ditch. No injuries were reported. Damage to York’s vehicle was estimated at $500, and damage to Angeles Salazar’s vehicle was estimated at $20,000.
  • Ibrahim Jalloh of Des Moines was traveling southbound on Indian Trail when his vehicle entered the ditch. Dallas County EMS transported Jalloh and a passenger to Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines and another passenger to Mercy One Medical Center in Des Moines. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

November 11, 2023

  • Stephen Douglas Manning, 45, of 6701 S.W. Ninth St., Des Moines, was arrested after a pursuit that started in the 31000 block of N Avenue and concluded in Madison County. Manning was arrested for eluding, interference with official acts, failure to obey traffic control device, failure to obey traffic control device,  reckless driving,  speeding and operating a non-registered vehicle.
  • Kathy Hendricks of Winterset was traveling in the 29000 block of 360th Street when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000.
  • Dakota Ray Nordstrom, 31, of no fixed abode was arrested on a warrant for assault-serious injury.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
