October 23, 2016

  • Luke Ulin of Milo was traveling in the 35000 block of Old Highway 6 when his vehicle ran into a hay bale. No injuries were reported. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $5,000.

October 24, 2016

  • Chowng Tyng Wong, 22, of 2284 E Ave., Perry, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation on original charges of theft, forgery and possession of a controlled substance.
  • Kaci Hoskey of Johnston was traveling in the 27000 block of U.S. Highway 6 when she abruptly slowed down because of a semi-tractor trailer turning in front of her and caused the vehicle behind her, driven by Moses Bomett of Norwalk, to strike Hoskey in the rear end of her vehicle. No injuries were reported. Damage to Hoskey’s vehicle was estimated at $1,000, and damage to Bomett’s vehicle was estimated at $500.

October 25, 2016

  • Curtis Hooyer of Pella was traveling east near the 103 mile marker of U.S. Interstate 80 when his vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage to Hooyer’s vehicle was estimated at $5000.
