Sept. 2, 2021
- Sandra Urfer of Woodward was traveling eastbound on 230th Street at X Avenue when her vehicle was struck at the uncontrolled intersection by a vehicle, driven by Lisa Montag of Grimes, traveling northbound on X Avenue. No injuries were reported. Damage to Urfer’s vehicle was estimated at $3,500, and damage to Montag’s vehicle was estimated at $3,500. Montag was issued a citation for failure to yield upon entering a through highway.
Sept. 3, 2021
- Elizabeth Elliott of Winterset was traveling eastbound on 360th Street at Ute Avenue when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle, driven by Nicholas Littell of Baxter. No injuries were reported. Damage to Elliott’s car was estimated at $3,000 damage, and damage to Littill’s vehicle was estimated at $1,000.

- Shane Morgan, 39, of 222 21st St., Ames, was arrested on a warrant for second-degree theft.
- Daniel Martin, 46, of 213 63rd St., West Des Moines, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
- Shane Morgan, 39, of 4930 Vernon Road, Sedalia, Missouri, was arrested as a fugitive from justice.
Sept. 5, 2021
- Joshua Knowles, 40, of 14700 M Ave., Perry, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
- Yelena Barr, 22, of 8601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, was arrested for driving while license denied or revoked and issued a citation for speeding.
- Enrique Ceja Casteneda, 51, of 691 H Ave., Ogden, was issued a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Amarrion Isom of Fort Dodge struck a legally parked vehicle, owned by Brandi Deemer of Minburn, on Walnut Street in Minburn. No injuries were reported. Damage to Deemer’s vehicle was estimated at $3,000.
Sept. 6, 2021
- Randall Venteicher, 52, of 167 190th St., Scranton, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
- Michael Schmitz, 33, of 2625 Warford St., Perry, was arrested for violation of a no-contract order.
- Hilda Guzman of Denison was traveling westbound in the 12000 block of Iowa Highway 141 when her vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $9,000.
- Bradford Depond of Adel was traveling eastbound on 240th St. at N Avenue when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle, driven by Michael Standfest of Boone. Depond was transported to a Des Moines hospital by Dallas County EMS. Damage to Depond’s vehicle was estimated at $10,000. Damage to Standfest’s vehicle was estimated at $8,000. Standfest was issued a citation for failure to stop in assured clear distance.
Sept. 7, 2021
- Nicole Eppert, 42, of 1318 333rd St., Woodward, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
