Darlene Campbell, 95, of Ankeny passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019, at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 20 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ankeny Baptist Church in Ankeny. Burial will be at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Perry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Ankeny Baptist Church or Urbandale Baptist Church and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care. Online condolences may be sent at www.carrisfuneralhome.com.
Darlene Narcella Campbell was born July 30, 1924, in Saunders County, Neb., to John Elof and Erma Alvina (Wild) Magnuson.
She was a graduate of Drake University.
Darlene was united in marriage to Wilford Albert Campbell at the First Baptist Church in Perry Sept. 27, 1944.
She taught at North Polk as an elementary music teacher.
Darlene was a member of the Ankeny Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting.
In death she rejoins her husband and her parents.
Left to cherish Darlene’s memory are her four children, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
