DCH, Raccoon Valley Bank sponsor Emergency Mobile Food Pantries

Wednesday, May 20 at 5 p.m. will see the first emergency mobile food pantry held in the north parking lot of the Dallas County Hospital. The second will be held at the Raccoon Valley Bank in Adel Thursday, May 21 at 5 p.m.

The Dallas County Hospital and Family Medicine Clinics is partnering with the Raccoon Valley Bank and teaming with several local businesses to create emergency mobile food pantries in Perry and Adel.

Wednesday, May 20 at 5 p.m. will see the first emergency mobile food pantry held in the north parking lot of the Dallas County Hospital. The second will be held at the Raccoon Valley Bank in Adel Thursday, May 21 at 5 p.m.

“We want to thank our local businesses for coming together to create this event,” said DCH Marketing and Foundation Manager Macinzie McFarland.

Donation sponsors include Tyson Foods Inc., Dallas County Hospital Foundation, Van Wall Equipment, Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce, Perry Fareway, Adel Fareway, Perry Hy-Vee, Minburn Communications, Progressive Foundry, Hy-Line International and Dallas County EMS.

Food and information will be given out on first come-first serve basis until the supply is gone. Volunteers will practice social distancing and will use CDC safety guidance with proper personal protection equipment (PPE), and attendees are asked to remain in their vehicles at all times. Please follow directions from our volunteers upon entering the mobile pantry on parking and traffic flow guidance.
