Beth Linn Deardorff began work Monday as the director of Dallas County Human Resources Department.
“I’ve been in HR a little over 13 years,” Deardorff said Tuesday morning at the meeting of the Dallas County Supervisors, “and I’m really excited to be here in Dallas County.”
The Des Moines native comes to county government after spending the previous four years as the HR director for Doll Distributing LLC.
Deardorff earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Iowa and a master’s of public administration degree in human resources management from Drake University.
She said she and her husband recently moved to rural Adel.
