Denise Dawn Johnston was born in Perry, Iowa on Nov. 10, 1955, and she passed peacefully in her home in Rippey surrounded by family on Aug. 22, 2022.
Denise was an over-the-road truck driver with her husband, Ken, for 38 years.
She loved animals, playing cards and Yahtzee with friends and family. She also loved playing Bingo and trips to the casino.
Denise is survived by her husband, Ken; daughters, Jessica and Jennifer; son, Steve Jacobson; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Kim (Mark) Weyers; brother, Mike (Sandy) McDowell; and numerous loving relatives.
She is preceded in death by her mom, Mary, and dad, Richard McDowell.
A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at their home on Saturday, Aug. 27 at 1 p.m.
