DMACC honors spring 2021 graduates, scholars

The Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) has released the names of graduating scholars as well as scholars attaining the DMACC President’s List and DMACC Dean’s List for the spring 2021 semester.

More than 800 students graduated in the spring term from DMACC’s Ankeny, Boone, Carroll, Newton, Urban and West campuses. The nine Perry-area graduates included:

  • Megan Burk, Human Services, Perry
  • Amber Escalante, Phlebotomy, Perry
  • Starlette Love, Associate General Studies, Perry
  • Logan Roll, Emergency Medical Technician, Woodward
  • Miguel Sierra Zarceno, Thermal Cutting Welding, Perry
  • Tyler Smith, Associate Degree Nursing, Perry
  • William Tibben, Machinist Technology, Perry
  • Michael Velasco, Liberal Arts, Perry
  • Mandi Weesner, Liberal Arts, Perry

Eleven Perry-area scholars were also named to DMACC’s spring 2021 semester president’s list. To qualify for the president’s list, a student must have earned a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 during the term. Achieving the spring president’s list were:

  • Donna Beasley, Photography, Perry
  • Heidi Chapman, Liberal Arts, Perry
  • Heather Friedrichsen, Liberal Arts, Perry
  • Nathan Galindo, Welding, Perry
  • Nichole Greene, Early Childhood Education, Perry
  • Angela Hernandez, Liberal Arts, Perry
  • Kelsey Holland, Liberal Arts, Perry
  • Dannah Karolus, Liberal Arts, Perry
  • Cameron Onnen, Human Services, Perry
  • Jeymi Ramirez, Accounting Specialist, Perry
  • Kolby Wolfe, Business Administration, Perry

DMACC also announced the spring 2021 semester dean’s list, including the following 14 Perry-area scholars. To qualify for the dean’s list, a student must have earned a grade point average (GPA) between 3.5 and 3.99. Making the spring dean’s list were:

  • Amos Barrios-Munoz, Liberal Arts, Perry
  • Presley Marie Bauman, Crime Scene Investigation, Perry

  • Maria Izquierdo, Pre-Nursing, Perry

DMACC also released the names of 12 Perry High School students in the Career Advantage Program eligible for the 2021 spring semester President’s List. To be eligible, a student must have completed a minimum of six credits and earned a 4.0 grade point average for that semester. Career Advantage students attaining the President’s List were:
