Funeral services for Donald Renshaw, 92, of Perry and formerly of rural Dallas Center will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Perry.

Officiating will be the Rev. Ken Bose, and the organist will be Chuck Schott. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in rural Minburn. Pallbearers will be Brandon, Jamie, Jared, Bret, Jeremy, Devin and Trevor Renshaw and Bryan Clark. Honorary pallbearers will be Kristen Lenagham, Brittany Bitner, Kelly Buckingham, Ashley Bartz and Heather Huth.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Murdock Funeral Home.

Donald passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at the Rowley Masonic Community in Perry, Iowa.

Donald Dean Renshaw was born Oct. 10, 1925, in rural Dallas Center on the Renshaw farmstead. He was the son of Dewey Lee and Nettie (Leggitt) Renshaw.

He married the love of his life, Norma Jean Agnes Bannick, Jan. 24, 1947, nearly 72 years ago.

They loved to travel and took many memorable trips.

Don loved to play pool and bowled on the local bowling leagues. He was an avid fisherman, and would venture off to Canada on a fishing trip two or three times a year, in his prime.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Don truly enjoyed his 17 years as a Pioneer Seed salesman. Pioneer Days was always a highlight to Don as he enjoyed entertaining his customers.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Renshaw of Perry; two sons, Larry Renshaw of Dallas Center and Vern (Deanna) Renshaw of Minburn; daughter, Janet (Larry) Clark of Cumming; one sister, Joan Rogers of Conway, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren.

Preceding Donald in death were his parents, Dewey and Nettie Renshaw; one brother, Robert Renshaw; and two sisters, Louise Tuttle and Darlene Agee.

Memorials will be directed to St. Croix Hospice in Donald’s name and may be sent or brought to Murdock Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at murdocfuneralhome.net.
