Elizabeth Lingner, 79, of Perry passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at the Rowley Masonic Community in Perry, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home and Cremation Care in Perry. Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 9 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dodge Township Cemetery near Bagley, Iowa.

Elizabeth Ann Lingner, “Liz,” was born in Paton, Iowa, June 26, 1938, to Ernest “Barney” and Theo (Johnson) Miller.

She spent her childhood in rural Bagley and later moved into town. She attended Bagley schools, graduating with the class of 1956.

After graduation, Liz worked at Iowa Finance in Des Moines and Perry. She then worked for North Central Public Service in Perry until her employment at Oscar Mayer Co., where she worked until its closing in 1989. She was then employed at Dallas County Hospital’s business office and retired from Green Street Clinic in Adel.

She married Delbert Moore Sr. in 1959. From this union were born her children, Rodney, Delbert Jr. and Angel.

In 1971 she married Ray Signs and had a son, Troy.

In 1977 she was united in marriage to Larry Lingner and she became mother to Linda and Kevin.

Liz enjoyed bowling, camping with her family and NASCAR events. A spirited hand of cards was always welcomed at family functions. Attending her children’s and then grandchildren’s events were her joy, and snuggling with the great grandchildren made her happy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Nick Miller; husband, Larry; and son-in-law, Pat Jones.

Surviving her are her children, Rodney Moore, Delbert (Cheryl) Moore, Angel Crane, Linda (Rick) Kuhn, Troy Signs and Kevin (Lisa Shannan) Lingner; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
