The Perry School Board will hold a special meeting Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 4:30 p.m. in the Clarion Room of the Security Bank Building at 1101 Willis Ave.
The agenda includes an item for discussion and possible action on the Return to Learn Plan, which requires monthly review and approval by the school board. Monday night’s board meeting focused on the district’s policy on face coverings as a virus-mitigation tactic. Perry’s Return to Learn Plan recommends but does not require masks for all students and staff.
Also on the Wednesday agenda as an item for discussion only is the issue of a new conference home for Perry High’s extracurricular activities. Perry is currently a member of the Raccoon River Conference (RRC). Other RRC schools include ADM, Ballard, Bondurant-Farrar, Boone, Carlisle, Carroll and Winterset. Gilbert and North Polk began competing in the conference in August.
