The National Weather Service office in Des Moines has issued a dense fog advisory in effect from 6 p.m. Saturday until noon Sunday.
Visibility will be less than one-quarter mile at times. Motorists should expect longer travel times and should allow extra distance between their vehicles and the vehicles in front of them.
Drivers should slow down, use their headlights and leave plenty of distance ahead of them.
