The Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is working on plans to improve the interchange of U.S. Interstate 80 and U.S. Highway 169 in the De Soto, including installing traffic signals at ramp terminals and adding turn lanes to improve traffic operations at the interchange.

The DOT said traffic would be maintained via staging at all times throughout the project, and the lane closures would be limited to non-peak travel hours.
